I have been passed some engines and a large bundle of balsa. This lot has obviously been well loved and cared for. I have full details so please email me if you are interested and maybe make an offer.

March 9th 2010

A reminder that the monthly club meeting is held this evening at the RAFA club. Watch Currock has been cut and is ready for another flying season. Car access is easy to the second gate, but requires a bit more drying to get into the flying field without a 4X4. For so early in the season, the strip is in good condition. With the dry spell set to continue for a while, all looks good for flying this weekend with the only likely problem being Mothering Sunday!

March 7th 2010

Watch Currock is drying out nicely. It is just possible to get a car in with great care. By next weekend it should be fine. The mower has been checked and run up, some kind person might even give the strip a cut this week. Happy flying.

March 1st 2010

Eddie Robson has notified the RAF of flying at Watch Currock in March, between the hours of 10:00 and 17:00. They have again warned us to be on the look out for low flights in the vicinity of Watch Currock. This could be at circuit height. Remember, if you see one aircraft, there will probably be a second.

The RAFA club is a few steps away from our previous location and is on Market Street, opposite the Salvation Army. The atmosphere is is a bit more conducive to flying activities, with aircraft and RAF memorabilia on display. We have had to change days and the next meeting will be on Tuesday 12th January 2010 at 8:00 pm. Look forward to seeing you there.
